ARTISTS REPRESENTATIONS

Exclusive Artist Representation

These are globally and well-established contemporary artists with strong institutional validation, successful auction records and robust secondary markets.

Lincoln Townley

British, b. 1972, London

Lincoln Townley is one of the most institutionally validated self-taught artists working in Britain today. Almost entirely untrained, he has over fifteen years built a career anchored by four consecutive appearances at Palazzo Bembo during La Biennale di Venezia, successful auctions at both Sotheby’s London and New York, a five-year Artist in Residence at BAFTA Los Angeles, and exhibitions at the National Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts and the Saatchi Gallery, London. He is represented by De Buck Gallery, New York and Klein Gallery, London.

His defining body of work, the Bankers Collection, now in its twelfth year of continuous development, presents anonymous, be-suited financiers with viscerally rendered faces: portraits without names, because the individuals who inhabit high finance share a collective psychology that transcends any single identity. Where Francis Bacon documented post-war existential dread, Townley anatomises 21st-century capitalism, its hunger, its anonymity, its beautiful corruption. Sotheby’s London has formally assessed the works as evoking the existential turmoil of the Twenty-First Century moment, akin to Bacon’s radical distortions of the human figure.

"I have always looked at greed as a very positive energy. My collectors see themselves in my work. There is glory in ambition, and glory can only be acquired through risk."

Danny Minnick

American, b. 1973, Seattle

Danny Minnick is the most culturally embedded emerging name in American Neo-Expressionism today. A professional skateboarder for two decades, Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio, and fine artist since 2011, his biography is not a marketing narrative, it is a lived reality that saturates every canvas. Represented by Carpenters Workshop Gallery across Los Angeles, London, Paris and New York, his work is permanently installed at the Barbican Centre London, Banksy’s Walled Off Hotel in Bethlehem, and Wynwood Walls Miami: a footprint across three continents that is exceptionally rare for any living artist under 60.

His signature figure, ‘Character’, a skeletal human form with a plus sign at the torso, rendered in instinctive, large-format strokes, has become one of the most recognisable marks in contemporary street-rooted fine art. Interview Magazine identified formal echoes of De Kooning’s brushwork, Pollock’s drips, Haring’s cartoon imagery and Basquiat’s colour in Minnick’s work. The synthesis is not derivation; it is genuine lineage, absorbed through the culture that shaped him: skate, hip-hop, street art and the energy of American urban life.

Ma Dongmin 马东民

Chinese, b. 1968, Beijing

Ma Dongmin is among the most rigorously credentialed contemporary artists operating in Asia today. A 1990 graduate of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), the institution that shaped Zeng Fanzhi, Xu Bing and Liu Xiaodong, he has spent more than three decades developing a singular artistic language that bridges Eastern philosophical depth with Western expressionist rigour.

His Blue Horse series, launched in 2011, has become one of the most recognisable bodies of work in the contemporary Chinese market. Rendered in luminous cerulean blues and dissolving at their edges into atmospheric mist, the horses occupy a liminal space between the figurative and the ethereal, meditations on loyalty, impermanence and the human spirit. Ma’s practice begins with photographing horses in their natural environment before translating those observed moments onto canvas: a method that gives his work both documentary precision and painterly transcendence.

  • Jury Grand Prize (Painting), 60th Venice Biennale, Omaggiamo: Dialogues with China (2024)

  • Every major auction since 2019 has met or substantially exceeded pre-sale estimates.

Market range: US$333,000 – US$535,000 across confirmed auction results.
